WHO WE ARE
Marine Conservation Pakistan is a private company dedicated to protecting and restoring the rich marine biodiversity of Pakistan’s oceans. Our mission extends beyond coral propagation and habitat rehabilitation, we address critical challenges such as overfishing, habitat destruction, and pollution, while advocating for sustainable practices and climate action.
We work closely with indigenous and fishing communities, youth, private and public sector empowering them through education, training, and collaborative conservation efforts. By combining nature based restoration techniques with grassroots advocacy, we aim to raise awareness, foster collective responsibility, and inspire action to safeguard marine life and habitats.
We approach our work with humility and a commitment to making a meaningful difference for both the environment and the communities that rely on it.
OUR VISION
A healthy, resilient, and biodiverse marine environment along Pakistan’s coastline, where ecosystems flourish, marine life thrives, and coastal communities prosper in harmony with nature.
Challenges Beneath the Surface
Pakistan’s marine ecosystems face growing threats from climate change, ghost nets, coral reef degradation, and plastic pollution. These issues not only damage delicate underwater habitats but also reduce ocean resilience and accelerate biodiversity loss.
The decline in marine health directly impacts fish stocks, livelihoods of coastal communities, and the survival of endangered marine species. As biodiversity diminishes, so does the ocean’s ability to support local economies and food security.
Scientific & Nature-Based Solution
Coral reef protection and rehabilitation, through the scientifically proven methodology invented by Dr. Anuar Abdullah, the Founder of Ocean Quest Global, is a cost effective and easy-to-implement way to rehabilitate coral reefs, where coral is declining due to various factors of natural and man-made threats.
Marine Conservation initiatives align with global conservation priorities, adopting OQG scientifically proven methodology, emphasizing low-impact, sustainable restoration techniques. By avoiding artificial structures and focusing on solutions like reef gardening and natural substrate rehabilitation, we create long- term, self-sustaining ecosystems that support marine life and local communities.

“Look at the word ‘artificial’, it implies that it is fake, having a natural reef that has been revitalised in an organic way does more in the long run. It will undoubtedly deliver more benefits for coastal communities. ”
